In an effort to help sustain water levels in the smaller of the two lakes in the Golden Hills Nature Park, known as Supply Lake. GHCSD with the help of Tehachapi Crosswinds volunteers planted 60 deer grass plants.  This simple yet very effective grass will work to straighten the banks of the lake and mitigate leakage that has been experienced since the heavy rains.  Crosswind members spent the morning digging holes and planting on Saturday July 1st.  We want to thank this group that is also responsible for putting out the American flags along Red Apple Road.

If you have not experienced the Golden Hills Nature Park, now is a perfect time. Early morning and late afternoon are perfect time to observe a wide variety of wild life.   There are some wonderful things happening in the park.  Watch for more upcoming Nature Park information in the coming weeks.
