Golden Hills CSD Vegetation Management
WARNING: NOTICE OF HERBICIDE
RECON will be applying Polaris (EPA Reg. No. 228-534) herbicide for control of salt cedar (Tamarix spp) and Russian knapweed (Rhaponticum repens) within Golden Hills Nature Park area. Polaris is a post-emergence, imazapyr-based herbicide for control of undesirable vegetation. Polaris is approved for application in and around water in the State of California. Application is contingent on weather conditions and may need to be adjusted.
In accordance with our contract for site maintenance, which specifies herbicide as a weed control measure, we will be applying herbicide on the above-specified site. Polaris is an herbicide in the lowest toxicity category. The warning on the product label states that it may cause eye irritation and should be kept out of the reach of children. Polaris is considered to be nontoxic to dogs and domestic animals. A blue colorant is mixed with the herbicide to make all sprayed areas obvious. No one should enter the area until the area until the spray has dried.

SPRAYED PLANTS ARE MARKED WITH GREEN OR BLUE DYE. AVOID CONTACT WITH GREEN OR BLUE SPRAYED PLANTS BEFORE 7:30 P.M. ON DATE ABOVE. IF YOU DO COME INTO CONTACT WITH GREEN OR BLUE SPRAYED PLANTS, WASH CONTACTED AREA IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
