The Golden Hills Community Services District was established on May 5, 1966. The development consists of approximately 4,200 lots, zoned for residential, commercial or industrial uses. Water is furnished to each parcel, excluding some of the 2-1/2 acre lots in the northern section of the District, by the community’s water system.

The District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors. Directors are District residents, serve a four-year term, and are elected by the registered voters of the District.
